AREFLH is a partner of the NOVASOIL project (Innovative Business models for soil health). Its general objective is to highlight the benefits of investments in soil health for society and the environment.

The goal of the project meeting was to provide an overview of the activities held in the first year of the project. The lessons learned are the case study from the partial development of end-users-led soil health, the analysis and development of business models to promote soil health and to feed the development of the toolbox of the incentives. In addition, the consortium has presented a preliminary analysis plan of the current policies related to the soil.

During the meeting the participants discussed the activities that will be held in the next six months in the framework of the project. Also, the Knowledge Hub was presented, it is a platform that will be open and will contain different information related to Soil health (strategic documents, information related to the EU policies and research results).

Policies

Another subject of discussion was the activities related to the policies. In the next months there will be interviews with different stakeholders. Their opinion of the main objective of the project is important. In addition, workshops related to policies will be conducted and different stakeholders from different countries will be invited to participate.

AREFLH will contact different stakeholders to invite them to be part of the CoP. If you are interested in being a member of the Community of Practice, please contact us on Cette adresse e-mail est protégée contre les robots spammeurs. Vous devez activer le JavaScript pour la visualiser..

Communication

Lastly, one session of the Plenary Meeting was dedicated to communication and dissemination, to give even more visibility to the results achieved so far. The consortium wish to disseminate better the information related to the hub dedicated to Soil Health information and to its mission.

Toolbox

NOVASOIL highlights the benefits of investments in soil health for society and the environment. To reach these objectives a toolbox will be developed to analyze the suitability of different business cases that promote soil health. This toolbox will be based on a set of good examples from Europe and other countries, tailored to the needs and demands of society.
