The latest meeting of the Nutriman project “NUTRIent MANagement and Nutrient Recovery Thematic Network” was held on March 17 & 18 through videoconference due to the current COVID19 sanitary emergency.

The goal of the meeting was to provide a general overview of the activities carried out in the last thirty months of the project as well as to plan and fix the upcoming activities for the coming six months, that is up to the end of the project.

During the meeting, activities related to the selection and the translation of the 25 best technologies and innovative products for nitrogen and phosphorus recovery were discussed. They were translated into the seven different languages of the partners involved in the project. More than 80 technologies and products have been identified so far, with the ambitious objective to reach around 100 of them by the end of the project.

The partners discussed in detail the next remaining activities such as dissemination and exploitation activities, which will be mainly carried out through workshops, webinars and digital training courses. Furthermore, in the next six months, different communication and dissemination activities are planned to give even more visibility to the results achieved so far in the project but also to disseminate information and material concerning specific topics (such as struvite, compost, ash etc.). They will be available on the Farmer Platform.

NUTRIMAN is a thematic nitrogen and phosphorus network that gathers knowledge "Ready for practice" for such applications, practices, and technologies of recovered products, applied interconnection science, and industrial practice, for the interest of users and the benefits of agricultural professionals.
The project aims are to improve the exploitation of the N/P nutrient management/recovery potential for cases without practice sufficiently known by professionals. This action will open up new opportunities for farmers to develop connections between applied research with the results of practical utility and agricultural practices in the priority area of nutrient management and nutrient recovery.
